Ficus

The Ficus (fig) family of plants is a very wide ranging genus filling most of the environmental niches is the plant world. Some of the larger specimens are shown here and as you can see they vary widely from the tree-like weeping fig (ficus benjamina) to, every bodies favourite, the rubber plant.

Ficus Benjamina - Braided Stem (Woven stem weeping fig)

This is the traditional weeping fig but grown with an exotic braided stem.

Ficus Robusta (Rubber Plant)

Everybody likes a rubber plant but these are real specimens.

      Needs

  • Good light, avoid full sun

  • Very easy to grow.
  • Tip - If you look at the picture all the leaves are upright, if you see a rubber plant with drooping leaves, it is being overwatered.
