Most of the pot plants shown below are easy to look after and should be very rewarding to keep. Flowering plants like the Vriesia may only bloom for a few weeks, but even when the flower has gone the remaining foliage is quite attractive. Aglaonema Silver Queen This plant has wonderful contrasting leaf colour, it looks great against a dark wall and being an Aglo' is can cope with low light. Codaeum Petra (Croton) These crotons look almost artificial and are by far the most colourful of the non-flowering pot plants. A great gift. Ficus Pumila This plant is a prolific climber and, we think, far more attractive than ivy. Give it warmth and good light and you will be surprised at how well it will grow. Vriesea Splender (Flaming Sword) These are dazzling plants and when the flower spike goes in 3 - 6 weeks the foliage makes an attractive plants. Sometimes they flower again, but don't count on it. Guzmania Grand Prix These plants have a dazzling red flower that will last from between 4 - 8 weeks, more in good light.
