Product Description for Cissus Rotundifolia (Column)
Cissus Rotundifolia (Pot 24 on a column 1.2m)
Cissus Rotundifolia Grape Ivy is a creeping vine plant. It is a species of lianas (woody vines) in the grape family (Vitaceae). This beautiful draping or climbing plant hails from East Africa. The shiny, waxy leaves are pleasing to the senses. The Cissus Rotundifolia is currently one of approximately 350 species of Cissus, which are all vine plants. This variety is also known as “Succulent Grape”. Rotundifolia literally means “round leaves” and the word Cissus comes from the Greek word Kissos, meaning Ivy. You can train the plant up a column, as sold by us on this page. We also have a selection of draping plants in hangers here if this tickles your fancy!
Plant it in a wonderful pot next to a trellis with a bright vertical accent. Furthermore, this plant is great for an office, maybe a living room, or where there is medium to bright light. Perhaps think about other plants that will complement. The Beavertail adds contrasting shape and form whilst the Maranta Tricolour gives some interesting colour to your composition. Both hanging plants will grow in the opposite direction to your Grape Ivy.
Have cleaner air! The bigger and greener the leaves, the more carbon your plant will absorb. Giving you a healthier environment to live and breathe in.
Caring for this plant is easy enough, just follow this guide and your plants should thrive:
Light: Thrives in bright to medium light conditions.
Water: Water well during spring and autumn but allow to dry out between watering.
Temperature: Normal room temperatures from 10-24°C.
