Philodendron Squamiferum

We don’t usually do this but, for a change we’re adding this rare Philodendron to our list. The Philodendron Squamiferum is a magnificent variety in the genus Araceae. It is a climber, originating in French Guiana, Suriname, and northern Brazil where it scales large trees. The distinctive “furry” stems set this variety apart from its friend the Pedatum – similar in appearance, however much more common. If you are a bit of a Philodendron “nut”, then this is for you.
